According to The Sun: Two people were injured during a horrific accident when a cable car crashed into a barrier at a station in Italy. Approximately a hundred other passengers were left without assistance after the incident at the cable car in Macugnaga, located in the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola region of Piedmont.
According to local media reports, the accident occurred at the Monte Moro station.
— It was shocking. No one expected that such an event could happen. Panic struck everyone on board after the collision, — said one of the witnesses.
Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene to provide necessary help to the injured. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident to determine the causes and any possible safety deficiencies of the cable car.
