New Taxes from 2026: What Goods Will Become More Expensive in Ukraine.
According to inkorr.com: In 2026, Ukrainians may face rising prices on a number of goods if a new state budget is approved. As reported by agronews.ua, the introduction of new taxes and increased excises is forecasted to replenish a budget of 402 billion hryvnias and adapt tax rates to European standards.
Excises and Taxes
For example, the excise on cigarettes will increase from 58 to 61 euros per thousand units, while the minimum tax obligations will rise from 78 to 82 euros.
Additionally, an increase in prices for tobacco heating products is expected, however, the price of alcohol will remain unchanged. Motorists will feel the rise in fuel excises, which will lead to increased prices for gasoline and diesel.
New Taxes
Furthermore, the introduction of new taxes on sugary drinks and online trade, particularly through platforms like OLX, is planned to gather an additional 14 billion hryvnias for the budget. Increased rates of military tax will remain unchanged for entrepreneurs and companies.
Therefore, Ukrainians should prepare for increased expenses on purchasing tobacco products, fuel, and some other goods. This may impact their daily expenses in the near future, complicating the economic situation for many families.
