According to Novyny.live: Emergency crews have finished clearing debris in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district after a Russian attack struck a 16-story residential building. The operation removed wreckage and addressed the aftermath of an assault that caused significant loss of life.
How the Debris Clearance Unfolded
The clearance effort spanned several days. Workers removed roughly 42 cubic meters of construction waste from the 12th and 13th floors. A XCMG QY75K truck crane was deployed to dismantle heavy structures, extracting 24 reinforced concrete slab fragments weighing about 53 tons in total. During the operation, rescue teams recovered human remains, which were handed over to the National Police.
Thirty rescue personnel and eight specialized vehicles participated in the mission. As of July 2, the attack had killed 31 people and wounded 102 others. This tragedy highlights the ongoing human cost of aggression that continues to impact Ukrainians daily.
This incident underscores the severe humanitarian toll of the conflict in Ukraine, now in its third year. The deaths and injuries of civilians demonstrate how war directly disrupts everyday life, causing grief and suffering.
