Ukraine has launched a new service for obtaining a military registration document through the Diia portal

Ukraine has implemented a new digital service that allows obtaining a military registration document with a QR code through the Diia portal. This was announced by the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

Thanks to the innovation, the process of obtaining the document is significantly simplified, as citizens no longer need to visit institutions and stand in lines.

The electronic military registration document has the same legal force as the paper counterpart. It can be used in various situations, ranging from employment to passing control at checkpoints. Among the features of this document is the presence of a QR code, which allows verifying its authenticity and obtaining information from the Obereg registry, including reservation data.

To obtain the document, it is necessary to authorize on the Diia portal using a qualified electronic signature, select the appropriate service, and submit an application. Shortly after signing the application with an electronic signature, the document will be available in the user's personal account.

It is important to remember that the electronic MRD will only be formed if all necessary data about the citizen is available in the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Military Personnel, and Reservists.

This project is a joint implementation of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with the support of the Digital Transformation Support project, funded by USAID and UK Dev. The Eastern Europe Foundation is a project partner.

Let us remind you that the Reserve+ application has added the ability to upload current reservation data to the electronic military registration document.
