Google introduces artificial intelligence into its geoservices
Google updates its services - Google Maps, Google Earth and Waze, using the Gemini artificial intelligence system, TechSpot reports.
In the USA, Google Maps already cooperate with this new service, which provides additional information about various cities for tourists. Artificial intelligence uses Google's geodatabase and user recommendations to prepare a list of places worth visiting.
«Google Maps users in the USA on Android and iOS will receive more detailed and contextual search results based on Gemini AI. The new feature allows users to make conversational requests, for example, asking for evening outing suggestions with friends in a particular city. Gemini gathers responses using a huge database of places and user reviews on Google Maps»,– it is reported.
This new service also collaborates with travel blogs, allowing it to find landmarks, rest areas, restaurants and hotels along the route, as well as provide information on traffic situations and jams.
Thanks to artificial intelligence, Google services can quickly find charging stations for electric vehicles and even dangerous road sections and school zones, making drivers more cautious.
It was also reported that doctors in Britain are using artificial intelligence to predict the possible date of death of patients, taking into account data from an electrocardiogram.
