Grenade Detonated During ID Check in Kamianske Leaves Three Wounded.
Incident in Kamianske
According to Espreso.tv: On July 2, during a routine document inspection in Kamianske, a man set off a grenade, resulting in injuries to three individuals: a police officer, a serviceman from the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (RTCK and SP), and the attacker himself. All victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.
A police investigative team has arrived at the scene to clarify the circumstances. According to reports, the man had violated military registration rules, which prompted the document check, and it was during this process that he used the explosive device.
Similar Cases
This is not an isolated event. In April, in the Dnipro region, another man detonated a grenade while being detained, wounding four police officers and killing the perpetrator. That same month, in Vinnytsia, a 38-year-old man stabbed two military personnel from the Territorial Recruitment Center. In December of last year, a tragic incident occurred in Lviv during a document check, where a man fatally wounded a TCC serviceman.
These recurring incidents across Ukraine highlight significant security threats faced by law enforcement during their duties. The use of weapons and aggressive actions by offenders during document checks underscore the urgent need for enhanced safety measures and better training for officers. Moreover, such events may point to deeper social issues within Ukrainian society that require comprehensive solutions.
