100 of Ukraine’s Most Powerful Women Honored in Kyiv; Youngest Awardee Is Just 8 Years Old.
Kyiv Hosts the 'UP100: Power of Women' Awards Ceremony
According to Novyny.live: For the third consecutive year, Ukraine recognized 100 leading women across diverse fields at the 'UP100: Power of Women' awards in Kyiv. This event has become a key platform for celebrating female achievements nationwide. This year’s theme, 'When One Blooms, We All Bloom,' highlighted the importance of mutual support and solidarity among women.
The youngest laureate was 8-year-old Zlata Veres, while the most senior was 89-year-old Nadiia Znakharenko. During her speech, Znakharenko underscored the need to support and rebuild her hometown, stating:
“Kherson was so beautiful, the city flourished, people worked. Because Kherson is the most blooming and sweetest city in Ukraine. But when that filth came, it destroyed me.” - Nadiia Znakharenko
She also highlighted how war has disrupted daily life, noting that 'those in charge have no time for flowers or roses.'
