According to Novyny.live: Women managing households in the Khoruzhivka starosta district of the Nedryhailiv community, located in Ukraine's Sumy region, now have access to financial aid for hiring agricultural assistants. This initiative is part of the 'Money for Household Help' program, run by the NGO 'League of Modern Women' in collaboration with JERU.

The funding originates from Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Applications for this support will be accepted through June 21. Who Is Eligible

Eligible participants include women raising children or managing their households alone, single women, families of Ukrainian military personnel, and households where a woman is the head of the family and where individuals with disabilities reside.

Assistants can help with the following tasks:

• cultivating land plots;
• planting vegetable gardens and harvesting crops;
• daily care of livestock;
• repairing farm buildings or fences;
• preparing and stacking firewood for winter;
• other agricultural chores.

This program offers crucial support for women needing assistance with household management, aiming to ease their workload and improve living conditions.

Targeting the real needs of rural women, the 'Money for Household Help' initiative addresses challenges made worse by war and social instability.
