On December 23, emergency power outage schedules were introduced in Ukraine at the direction of Ukrenergo, announced Serhiy Kovalenko, the CEO of the electricity supply company YASNO.
The energy system of Ukraine is in a difficult situation and requires immediate measures to ensure the stability of energy supply. Therefore, the national energy system operator Ukrenergo has implemented forced measures to regulate the load on the power grid.
According to Serhiy Kovalenko, electricity will be turned off in Kyiv, Dnipro, Chernihiv region, Sumy region, and Kirovohrad region.
Recall that the American newspaper NYT assessed how Ukraine provides electricity supply in winter.
