The Security Service of Ukraine detains an agent of Russia and Belarus who directed strikes on Kyiv's CHPs.
According to ТСН: The Security Service of Ukraine detained a criminal in Kyiv who worked for the intelligence services of Russia and Belarus. This agent was coordinating strikes on combined heat and power plants that provide heating to a significant part of the capital.
Double recruitment and tasks
According to the investigation, the detained person turned out to be a local handyman. He was recruited through Telegram channels, where he actively published pro-Kremlin comments.
The figure was carrying out tasks for two clients:
For the Border Committee of Belarus, he spied on the locations of the Defense Forces.
For the Russian special services, he conducted reconnaissance of energy facilities to prepare new shelling.
Spying 'from the window' and preparation for escape
The agent acted cunningly: first, he observed the perimeter of one of the capital's CHPs directly from his apartment window. Later, he went to the site to assess the technical condition of the facility after previous attacks by the occupiers and to provide coordinates for new strikes.
In case of successful completion of tasks, his curators promised the traitor 'evacuation' abroad. The Security Service has determined that he had already prepared a tactical backpack with the necessary items for illegal border crossing.
Detention and verdict
Security Service employees acted preemptively: the criminal was detained in his own home. At the same time, measures were taken to additionally protect strategic facilities to which he was 'guiding' the enemy.
During searches of the suspect, a mobile phone was seized with evidence of correspondence with curators from both aggressor countries.
Currently, the detainee has been notified of suspicion under part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law). He is in custody without the right to bail. The traitor faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Previously, it was reported how a Russian agent attempted to blow up a soldier on a 'date'.
This case reveals the dangerous activities of agents attempting to undermine strategic facilities in Ukraine. The detention of this criminal evidences the effectiveness of the Security Service of Ukraine in preventing acts of espionage and treason under martial law. Efforts to identify and neutralize similar threats continue, which is essential for ensuring the country's security.
