China has obtained its first uranium as part of a major uranium project that has allowed access to complex deposits in northern Inner Mongolia. This event significantly strengthens the country's energy security.According to the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), China has extracted its first barrel of uranium under the 'National Uranium No. 1' project. This project, located in the Ordos River basin, is the largest in the country and an important step in enhancing China's competitiveness in the uranium extraction industry.Increasing China's capabilities in uranium extraction will not only ensure the country has its own resources, but also contribute to the development of a 'green' economy and energy security. This step is part of China's strategy for developing nuclear energy and reducing environmental impact.
