The Kyiv City State Administration knew about the destruction of the metro — Kravchenko provided evidence.
The Kyiv City State Administration, the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the KSCA, and the KP 'Kyiv Metro' were aware of the damage to the tunnel between the 'Demiivska' and 'Libidska' stations but hid this fact. An investigation is currently underway.
Destruction of the tunnel between 'Demiivska' and 'Libidska'
'Yesterday, a lot was written about the criminal proceedings against the official of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the KSCA, so: the officials knew everything perfectly well and understood it; they just hid the facts and did nothing to rectify the situation', — stated the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko.
His words are confirmed by the published evidence. In particular, he published a video that contains testimonies that well-known officials were aware of the destruction of the tunnel but kept this information secret.
In the recording of the conversation, the former head of the KP 'Kyiv Metro' and the chief engineer discuss the state of the tunnel, flooding, and cracks, and also jointly discuss the possibility of concealing these facts. Employees involved 'experts' to falsify data and provide pseudo-information about the condition of the tunnel to gain public support. The investigation of this case is ongoing.
It is well known that well-known government officials in Kyiv were engaged with primary sources in forming a complete picture, even causing their increased blindness to the actual problems of the metro. Officials downplayed the issues to hide defects in the operation of the city's public transport system. The results of the investigation promise to reveal the whole truth about this scandal and identify those responsible for the mismanagement of the metro.
