Mass poisoning in Lviv school: 10 people hospitalized.
According to inkorr.com: Ten people, including nine children and a teacher, have been hospitalized in Lviv due to symptoms of acute intestinal infection that occurred after visiting the school cafeteria. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. The affected individuals have been hospitalized at the Lviv Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital for medical assistance.
“Children began to arrive on November 5: on that day two students were hospitalized, on November 6 - five, and on November 7 - three more. Currently, there are 9 schoolchildren and a teacher in the hospital,” said the medical director of the hospital, Andriy Orfin.
The medical director also reported that the patients' condition is considered moderate, but the causes of the poisoning have not yet been established. Experts are conducting an investigation: interviewing the affected individuals, examining the consumed products, and communicating with cafeteria staff to identify the sources of the infection.
Outbreaks of acute intestinal infections in other regions:
The Ministry of Health has recorded three outbreaks of acute intestinal infections in other regions, where 70 people were affected, including 19 children. In addition, four cases of acute intestinal infection among children from a preschool institution in the Dnipro district of Kyiv have also been registered, who are receiving treatment and undergoing examinations to identify the source of the infection.
