On the night of August 19, the Russian army launched an attack on Poltava region. The enemy used cruise missiles and drones, targeting the region's critical infrastructure.
The strike was so powerful that it led to large-scale fires

According to information from the Ministry of Energy, the shelling led to fires in the region. Attacks on the oil refining complex of the area were recorded in June.
During the nighttime attack, Russian troops used drones to target a gas transportation facility in Poltava region.
Currently, experts are inspecting the equipment and assessing the damages.
Also, during the attack on Poltava region, the city of Kremenchuk was affected, where fires broke out. At the same time, the Russian army attacked Sumy region, causing destruction to over 34 buildings.
After the massive attack on Poltava region by Russian troops, the government of Ukraine is taking measures to assess the damages and support the affected communities. The situation remains tense, and restoration work is ongoing in the region.
