Russia has once again attacked the gas infrastructure: how it is related to the cold.
According to ТСН: On Friday, Russian invaders once again attacked Ukraine's gas and energy infrastructure.
Comments from the representative of 'Naftogaz'
The head of the 'Naftogaz' group, Serhii Koretskyi, noted that these attacks are carried out according to a certain tactic and depend on weather conditions.
"It is obvious that these strikes are synchronized with the cold. The enemy is trying to take advantage of the frosts and peak load on the system to complicate its operation as much as possible and disable it," emphasized Koretskyi.
He also reported that after the shelling, emergency teams and technical services were involved to mitigate the consequences. The restoration of damaged facilities is ongoing at an intensified pace.
"We are acting according to the approved safety protocols. Our main priority is to protect people and ensure the stable operation of the energy system," stressed the head of 'Naftogaz'.
Attacks in Odesa region
Moreover, it was previously reported that the invaders attacked industrial and port facilities in the Odesa region using drone-bombing strikes.
Thus, Russian troops once again struck the gas and energy infrastructure of Ukraine.
These attacks indicate the continuation of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, especially in cold conditions when the energy system feels the heaviest loads. Authorities and energy companies are doing everything possible to ensure the stability of electricity supply and to promptly mitigate the consequences of enemy actions.
