Naftogaz said if Ukraine will have enough gas for the heating season.

Naftogaz of Ukraine reported that Ukraine has accumulated sufficient volumes of natural gas to ensure the heating season of 2024. The Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz, Oleksiy Chernyshov, stated that this gas will be enough for all consumers, including households, heat utilities, and budget institutions. The needs of gas installations for electricity generation have also been considered.

The national company notes that for the second year in a row, Ukraine will go through the winter period exclusively on Ukrainian gas. Gas production increased by 7% compared to last year, and the Naftogaz Group plans to extract almost 15 billion cubic meters of gas this year.

Naftogaz also ensured additional security by purchasing a reserve stock of gas from European partners. This stock is stored in Ukraine's underground storage facilities and will be used only if necessary.
