Germany updates rules for receiving assistance for Ukrainians: who risks losing benefits.

Ukrainians who have received temporary protection can receive social support in Germany. However, to obtain financial assistance, it is necessary to follow the rules, otherwise payments may be reduced.
The amount of social assistance depends on marital status and the number of children. For example, single people or single parents receive 563 euros, married couples receive 506 euros, and children receive between 357 and 471 euros. This money is intended to cover basic needs such as food and housing.
German legislation has clear conditions for receiving assistance. Recipients must actively participate in public life and integration. If a person does not comply with these conditions, sanctions may apply in the form of reduced payments.
The main reasons for reducing assistance are refusal to participate in integration courses, employment, or education. Upon the first violation, payments may be reduced by 10%, upon the second - by 20%, and upon the third - by 30%. Such restrictions may last for up to three months.
Experts emphasize the importance of an active life position. Social assistance is not only financial support but also an opportunity to quickly adapt to a new country, migration service specialists point out.
To avoid a reduction in payments, Ukrainians are advised to attend language courses, not refuse the opportunity for employment, and occasionally inform employment centers about any changes in life circumstances.
It is important to understand that social assistance in Germany is a temporary support mechanism aimed at rapid integration and self-sufficiency of refugees.
