Vending Machine Network Expansion

According to Novyny.live: WARS, the onboard service provider, is rolling out more vending machines across PKP Intercity trains, making it easier for passengers to grab coffee and snacks. Currently, these machines are installed in 108 COMBO carriages and 14 ED74 electric trains. Each train now features two vending machines, offering a convenient selection of drinks and snacks to enhance the travel experience.

Future Plans

By the end of 2027, the company aims to increase the total number of machines from 244 to 456. This expansion reflects WARS' commitment to improving passenger comfort and broadening its service capabilities. Alongside the increase in machine numbers, the range of snacks and beverages available will also be diversified, giving travelers more choices during their journeys.

WARS vending machines will serve not only regular routes but also trains with dining cars operating on the longest domestic and international connections. Specific services include Pendolino, Express InterCity, and InterCity trains on the following routes:

  • Warsaw — Tricity (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot)
  • Krakow — Katowice
  • Przemyśl — Wrocław
  • Świnoujście — Białystok

Expanding the vending machine network marks a positive step toward upgrading the quality of service for PKP Intercity passengers.

This initiative responds to the growing demand for onboard conveniences, underscoring WARS' focus on service quality. By increasing machine availability and product variety, the company aims to strengthen its brand image and attract more customers, while also staying competitive with other carriers that prioritize passenger comfort.
