Six Enemy Drone Launch Sites Destroyed by Ukrainian Airborne and Special Forces in Pokrovsk.
Neutralizing Hostile Drone Operations
According to UATV: Units from the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Ukrainian Airborne Assault Forces and the 4th Special Operations Regiment 'Rangers' have dismantled a network of enemy drone launch points in Pokrovsk. The mission aimed to prevent unmanned aerial vehicles from conducting combat sorties that targeted Ukrainian military positions.
During the operation, Ukrainian forces eliminated six vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) drone launch sites. The targeted locations included:
- a building near a city café,
- a children's goods store,
- a library,
- a destroyed house in a private residential area.
These positions were actively used by the enemy for combat drone flights, posing a threat to both Ukrainian troops and civilians.
“The targets were identified through analysis of enemy actions, and precision strikes were carried out using fixed-wing attack drones,” Ukrainian military officials stated.
As a result of these efforts, Ukrainian forces have reduced enemy activity and strengthened the defense of their positions.
Strategic Importance for Security
This operation highlights the critical role of proactive measures by the Ukrainian armed forces in countering enemy drone usage, which has become essential for protecting military personnel and civilians in the conflict zone. By destroying drone launch sites, Ukraine can significantly limit the adversary's reconnaissance and strike capabilities, positively impacting the overall situation on the front lines.
