A conflict has erupted in a Polish city over housing for Ukrainians.

In the Polish city of Kolushki, local residents are protesting against the construction of a container village for workers from Azerbaijan and Ukraine. The project is being initiated by a poultry farmer who plans to build 12 container houses for his employees, located next to a school and a kindergarten.

Local residents express concern about the potential impact on safety and the quality of life in the area. At public hearings, it was stated that foreign workers are unintegrated and create conflicts.

The entrepreneur explains that he attracts workers from abroad due to the lack of local residents willing to perform physically demanding work. He claims that his workers are legal and come for employment rather than as refugees.

The local authorities support the protesters and have suspended consideration of the possibility of amending the urban planning regulations that would prohibit the construction of a residential complex in the area. The process of changing the plan may take several months, but if the entrepreneur obtains permission from the county head, he will be able to start construction.

The 'Confederation' party submitted a bill to the Sejm proposing to abolish the right to free medical assistance for Ukrainian refugees who do not pay insurance contributions.
