Putin's response to Trump's 'peace plan' for Ukraine.
Lavrov on Trump's initiatives to end the war in Ukraine
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov commented on the ideas of new US President Donald Trump regarding the cessation of the war in Ukraine.
He made this statement during an interview with a propaganda channel.
Lavrov believes that Trump's words about the possibility of ending the war in Ukraine in one day are not worth paying attention to.
He also described the initiatives to stop the conflict in Ukraine, which are actively discussed within the Republican Party in the US, as 'the same Minsk agreement, only in a new format, even worse.'
'What is being proposed by those who want to end the war is still limited to a 'line of confrontation', a 'ten-year truce', and then - 'we'll see', - said Lavrov.
Lavrov is also outraged that no one takes into account that the Ukrainian population needs to be given back the right to speak, study, and receive information in the Russian language.
It should be noted that the Wall Street Journal reported on who prevented Ukraine from winning the war.
