Russia declares key parameters of peace with Ukraine: what is known about the negotiations.
According to ТСН: The Kremlin claims that the American side has already received information about the 'key parameters of Russia's position' regarding the resolution of the situation in Ukraine. Moscow is preparing new contacts.
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov reported that Vladimir Putin's envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, reported on the 'outcomes of the trip in all its nuances'. Based on these reports, the Kremlin plans to determine further steps in negotiations with Washington.
Comments on the peace plan
In response to a question about the 20 points of the peace plan presented by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Peskov bluntly confirmed that 'appropriate clarifications had already been provided earlier'.
Interestingly, Kirill Dmitriev had also previously summarized the meeting with the U.S. delegation in Miami, hinting at the next round of negotiations. He noted that 'next time: Moscow'.
Content of the peace agreement
It is worth noting that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky first revealed the content of the 20 points of the peace agreement being discussed between Ukraine, the U.S., and Russia. In addition to the main document, there are also separate appendices for the areas that may reference other possible documents or agreements that may arise based on the framework agreements.
These events demonstrate the activation of contacts between Moscow and Washington, which may indicate an effort to find ways to make progress in negotiations regarding the resolution of the situation in Ukraine. In particular, the Kremlin's plans to continue negotiations may open new prospects for the peace process in the region; however, new proposals will require careful analysis by the Ukrainian side and its international partners.
