The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, stated that it is Time to develop a single tariff grid to address the issue of fair wage payments to public servants. He said this at a briefing on Thursday.

"I think that the parliament will do everything necessary to finally have a single tariff grid for everyone working for the state... There should be a single criterion and a set coefficient for this criterion... The single tariff grid should be clear and understandable," he said.

Stefanchuk emphasized that people should have a choice: "You either go to work for the state and see your social guarantees, pay level, or you go to work in business and pay taxes to help society maintain the state apparatus," the head of the VR explained.

According to him, it is unacceptable for someone in the state to receive a few thousand hryvnias while someone else gets several million. Such injustice is "very negatively perceived in society," especially during wartime.

In addition, Stefanchuk mentioned that this issue was discussed today at the meeting of the conciliatory council of faction and committee leaders.

"I think that we will reach this fair approach to normalizing the payment issues for everyone working for the state very soon," added the head of the VR.
