In Russia, two schoolchildren burned a Mi-8, only the tail of the helicopter remained.
At night on September 11, in the city of Noyabrsk (Russia), two schoolchildren, one 13 years old and the other 14, set fire to a multipurpose Mi-8 helicopter. They were promised 5 million rubles (about 2.24 million hryvnias) for this. This was reported by the Telegram channel Baza.
The schoolchildren penetrated the territory of the helipad at Noyabrsk airport through a gap in the fence. They doused the helicopter with flammable liquid and set it on fire with cigarettes on the second attempt. As a result of the explosion, one of the boys received facial burns.
After that, they fled the airport, but were detained within an hour.
The channel writes: "Ultimately, the boys' faces were badly burned, so they had to call an ambulance while covering the distance from the airport. The injured were taken to the hospital. The helicopter burned almost completely, only the tail remained".
During interrogations by law enforcement officers, the schoolchildren stated that they were promised 5 million rubles for setting fire to the helicopter. The young men also admitted that they recently set fire to a communications tower and received 30 thousand rubles for it.
It became known that the father of one of the suspects is currently fighting on the side of Russia against Ukraine.
Let us recall that on the night of September 7, Ukrainian Security Service drones attacked ammunition and equipment depots in the Voronezh region. In the before and after attack photos, published by Radio Liberty, the effects of detonation and fire are visible. The footage taken on September 9 shows the exact location of the ammunition storage, the detonation of which was captured on video and forced the local authorities to evacuate several nearby settlements.
