The US administration plans to support the conclusion of a ceasefire agreement between Ukraine and Russia by April 20 of this year, when Easter will be celebrated.
However, the White House acknowledges that the established deadlines may change due to differences in the positions of the conflicting parties.
The United States remains optimistic about the possibility of achieving a large-scale ceasefire in the coming weeks.
Trilateral negotiations
At the same time, European statesmen express concern regarding Trump's rushed actions to resolve the conflict.
They fear that the US president may make compromises that could harm Ukraine's interests and make it vulnerable to future attacks from Russia.
There are also doubts in Europe about Trump's ability to exert greater pressure on Moscow if Russia resists peace initiatives.
It should be noted that the US, Ukraine, and Russia have outlined the framework of the agreement regarding the resolution of the war.
