Draft Resolution on Ukraine’s Spiritual Anthem

According to Novyny.live: A proposed resolution has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, aiming to formally adopt the spiritual anthem 'Bozhe Velykyi, Yedynyi' (Great and Only God). Composed by Mykola Lysenko with lyrics by Oleksandr Konytskyi and edited by Oleksandr Koshyts, this anthem is designed to serve as a ceremonial piece during official events without altering the legal status of the State Anthem of Ukraine, which is enshrined in the country’s Constitution and laws.

Planned Use of the Spiritual Anthem

Under the draft, the spiritual anthem may be performed at state, religious, and other solemn occasions. It will notably be played during the National Day of Prayer, as well as at state memorial, mourning, and remembrance events. Importantly, the resolution would take effect the day after its official publication.

Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is encouraged to develop measures to promote the spiritual anthem. This reflects the state’s intent to uphold spiritual values and traditions that hold deep significance for Ukrainian society. Integrating the spiritual anthem into official ceremonies could help strengthen national identity and cultural heritage.

Adopting Ukraine’s spiritual anthem may play a key role in fostering national consciousness and highlighting spiritual values that resonate with modern Ukrainian society.

Given that the anthem will be used at various ceremonial events, it could raise public awareness of traditions and cultural heritage. In light of current challenges tied to war and social change, such initiatives may prove vital for uniting the nation.
