Zaporizhzhia has received new European buses: which routes they will operate on.
According to inkorr.com: Zaporizhzhia plans to expand its city transport network: by the end of the week, new European buses will hit the routes connecting the right and left banks. This decision was made after a survey in which thousands of Zaporizhzhia residents participated. The majority supported the improvement of the routes, particularly in the Khortytsia district. This was reported
bythe head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
Routes that will be serviced by new buses
The head of the
Zaporizhzhia Regional State AdministrationIvan Fedorov notes that the new buses will operate during peak hours - from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Additional transport will be launched on the following routes:
No. 17 — 3rd Southern Microdistrict — Osypenkivskyi Microdistrict;
No. 18 — 4th Southern Microdistrict — Borodynskyi Microdistrict;
No. 38 — Metallurgists Avenue — 16th Khortytsia Microdistrict.
Additionally, new buses have already appeared on route No. 39 (Zaporizhzhia-2 Station — 17th Khortytsia Microdistrict).
New routes and assistance from Italy
Earlier, a
temporary routeNo. 71 (Simferopol Highway — Zaporizhzhia Square) appeared in Zaporizhzhia, as well as test lines No. 97 “BK ZAlK — 3rd Southern Microdistrict” and No. 48 “BK ZAlK — Simferopol Highway”.This is part of a large update of public transport being implemented with the support of European partners.
The city government is assisted by Milan: the Italian city has transferred six modern buses to Zaporizhzhia, which are already being prepared for operation on local routes. However, the city council notes a problem with a lack of drivers, which may affect the schedule for opening new routes.
The project aims to reduce transport load on the bridges over the Dnipro and improve connections between districts, especially during morning and evening hours.
The expansion of the transport network in Zaporizhzhia is an important step towards improving the ease of movement for residents. The opening of new routes and the involvement of modern transport reduce congestion and make travel around the city more comfortable. Public transport is a vital component of infrastructure, and its update is under constant control of the authorities, contributing to the overall development of the city.
