Delayed Subsidy Payments for Ukrainians Who Missed the July 1 Deadline: New Timelines and Eligibility Rules.
How to Apply for Housing Subsidies in Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainians who missed the deadline to submit documents for a housing subsidy covering the non-heating season will still receive financial assistance, but at a later date. Payments will be retroactive to the start of the non-heating season, provided that applications are submitted within two months of that season's beginning. The final date to apply for the subsidy was set for July 1.
Subsidies are granted from the start of either the non-heating or heating season if the request is made within two months. Those who successfully applied for the subsidy before July 1 can expect payments to begin from May 1.
Available Channels for Submitting Subsidy Applications
To apply for a subsidy, Ukrainians can choose from several submission methods:
- By mail,
- Through the 'Diia' online portal,
- Via authorized community representatives,
- In person at a Pension Fund service center,
- Through the Pension Fund's mobile app,
- At a Center for Administrative Services (CNAP).
The subsidy is available to households without centralized heating that do not use gas or electricity for warmth.
This news is significant for many Ukrainians as it addresses social support amid rising utility and energy costs. Since the non-heating season can still place a financial strain on households, especially those lacking access to centralized heating systems, submitting subsidy applications on time can greatly ease their economic burden.
