Electricity Substations Hit in Crimea Attack
According to Espreso.tv: A drone operation carried out by Ukrainian forces targeted four power substations in Crimea, leading to widespread power outages across the region. The strikes hit the 'Mar'yanivka', 'Oleksandrivka', 'Vypasne', and 'Dzhankoi' substations, with operators from the 413th Battalion of the SBU Special Operations Unit 'Reid' executing the attack.
Frontline Developments
Since the start of the day, 48 combat engagements have occurred on the front lines, signaling an escalation in hostilities. Artillery shelling persisted in border areas, affecting several settlements, including:
- Neskuchne
- Sopych
- Korenok
- Volfyne
- Potapivka
- Hirky
- Ulanove
- Bachivsk
Airstrikes were also reported near Luzhky and Sumy.
On the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, one combat engagement took place. In total, 28 shelling incidents were recorded, targeting Ukrainian military positions and populated areas. On the Southern Slobozhanskyi front, two breakthrough attempts occurred near Mala Vovcha and Starytsia, while on the Kupiansk axis, two attacks were launched near Kolisnykivka and Borivska Andriivka.
On the Lyman axis, enemy forces attempted to advance four times, while on the Sloviansk front, three attacks were reported. The Kostiantynivka direction saw 12 assaults, and the Pokrovsk axis experienced 15 efforts to push forward. On the Oleksandrivka front, three attacks were recorded, and on the Huliaipole axis, six occurred.
No offensive actions were conducted on the Orikhiv and Prydniprovia fronts. The overall situation remains tense, with ongoing combat and shelling posing risks to civilians in border regions.
These events highlight a serious escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, particularly as fighting intensifies across multiple fronts.
The strike on Crimea’s power substations appears to be a strategic move aimed at weakening enemy infrastructure. The rising number of engagements and shelling indicates that both sides continue active military operations, which could further endanger civilians and destabilize the region.
