Aftermath of the Attack on Kryvyi Rih

According to Novyny.live: On June 23, a Russian military strike hit Kryvyi Rih, killing three people and injuring 24 others. Medical teams are currently battling to save several victims who are in severe or critical condition. This assault marks another tragic chapter in a series of drone and missile attacks the city has endured in recent months.

According to Oleksandr Vilkul,

“all fires have been extinguished, and we are finishing clearing the aftermath.”
He also noted,
“it was a ballistic strike—specifically, cluster ballistic munitions. People died more than 200 meters apart from each other.”
These details underscore the severity of the attack and its devastating impact on the civilian population.

Growing Danger for Civilians

It is worth noting that Russian forces also launched 1,050 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region in the past 24 hours, injuring seven people. Additionally, on June 22, the enemy used guided aerial bombs (KABs) to strike the Sumy community, damaging civilian infrastructure. These events highlight the escalating threat to non-combatants across the region.

The assault on Kryvyi Rih, along with numerous strikes on other cities, reflects an intensification of the conflict and the persistent risks faced by Ukraine's civilian population. Given the rising number of attacks, it is crucial to draw attention to the humanitarian consequences of the fighting, as well as the need for continued international response to protect civilians. The situation in the region remains tense, and clearing the aftermath of these strikes will require substantial efforts from local authorities and emergency services.
