Attack on the Zmiyiv Community
According to UATV: On June 28, 2023, Russian forces launched an attack on the Zmiyiv community in the Kharkiv region, resulting in the death of a 54-year-old woman and injuries to seven others. The strike was carried out using a Tornado-S multiple rocket launcher along the banks of the Siverskyi Donets River. This incident is part of ongoing hostilities in the area, which have repeatedly endangered civilian lives.
Among the wounded were a 16-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl. Medical teams, rescue workers, police officers, and other emergency services were on the scene within minutes. Pavel Golodnikov reported on the response efforts, highlighting the immediate mobilization of resources to aid victims.
Aftermath of the Shelling
The attack caused shrapnel damage to two passenger cars, a Renault Dacia and a Kia. The situation remained tense as emergency services continued to provide assistance to the injured. This shelling underscores the persistent instability in the region, driven by the ongoing military conflict.
This strike is the latest episode in the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine, which has been ongoing since 2014. Tensions in the region remain high, and civilians continue to suffer the consequences of military actions.
