Russian missile strike on U.S. factory in Mukachevo: what Kremlin aimed to achieve

According to FREEДOM: The Russian Federation deliberately launched a missile strike on the American factory in Mukachevo on August 21. This was likely done to hinder the United States and European allies from investing in Ukrainian businesses. This is stated in the report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), as reported by FREEДОМ.

Analysts note that the preparations for the strike lasted several weeks. The explosion occurred at the factory after being hit by two 'Caliber' missiles.

The strike was so powerful that the fire covered an area of over 7 thousand square meters. At least 20 workers of the enterprise were injured.

Recall that on the night of August 21, Russia struck the factory of the American company Flex, which operates in Mukachevo. As a result of the shelling, 21 people were injured. The enterprise specializes in electronics production.

Neither the President nor the Prime Minister of Hungary condemned Russia for the strike on Mukachevo, which was carried out on the night of August 21. Moreover, the Hungarian president decided that it was not worth emphasizing who carried out the strike and edited his post.

The event that occurred indicates an escalation of the conflict between Russia, the USA, and their allies, and may also impact economic relations. The strike on the American factory in Mukachevo not only caused human suffering but also disrupted the operation of the enterprise, which could affect its future and investment climate in the region.
