Uklon has increased taxi fares in Bukovel by 46%: why it has become more expensive.
The taxi service Uklon has revised its transportation rates in Bukovel. In August 2025, the price per kilometer is nearly 50% higher compared to March.
Why Uklon raised prices in Bukovel
Pricing in Bukovel is different from other locations where Uklon operates due to the large number of inaccessible places and limited parking zones, the company's press service said in response to a request from the publication.
'This increases the cost of car maintenance and fuel', Uklon added.
At the same time, a ridesharing market manager, who spoke anonymously with Forbes Ukraine, believes that one of the key reasons could be the increase in the commission that the resort charges taxi services.
What are the taxi rates in Bukovel
In August 2025, the cost of 1 km of a taxi ride with Uklon in Bukovel starts from 35 UAH. While in March of the same year, the price was from 24 UAH/km. Thus, in three months, the cost has increased by 46%. The company has not commented on these calculations.
In the city, there is also a nationwide taxi service called Opti and the local Taxi-Buko. The latter has prices starting from 250 UAH per ride.
Price increases for taxis in Bukovel are explained by the complexity of transportation in the resort area due to the large number of inaccessible places and limited parking zones. Other possible reasons include the increase in the commission charged by the resort from taxi services. As a result, taxi fares in Bukovel have risen by 46% over three months, by August 2025.Read also
