Two out of three rotations of the men's qualification in gymnastics have been completed. The Ukrainian team participated in the second rotation, which included Illia Kovtun, Oleg Verniaiev, Nazar Chepurnyi, Ihor Radivilov, and Radomir Stelmach. 

Paris Olympic Games: Ukrainian gymnastics team showed good results

Illia Kovtun and Oleg Verniaiev competed in all six events, Radomir Stelmach and Nazar Chepurnyi – in four, and Ihor Radivilov – in two. The team score included the 3 best out of 4 results in 6 events.

Based on the performances of eight teams, Ukraine has secured a spot in the team final – before the last rotation, our gymnasts are in fourth place with a score of 253.893 points and cannot drop below eighth place, which is the last qualifying spot. Thus, Ukraine qualifies for the team all-around final for the fourth consecutive Olympics.  

In addition, the qualification results determine the selection for the individual all-around and apparatus finals. The final number of finals will be determined after the third rotation, which starts at 21:00. 

Let's recall that the very busy morning program of competitions on the first day in Paris has concluded, highlighted by the rowing events. Our country will compete in two disciplines at the Olympics: the women's quadruple sculls and the men's lightweight double sculls. 

It was previously reported which disciplines Ukrainian athletes will participate in today on the first competition day of the 2024 Olympics. 

Additionally, Ukraine will be represented at the Olympics in almost all sports, except for team sports. Meanwhile, the football team will participate in the Games for the first Time since independence.
