Ukraine has gained the opportunity to export fresh apples to Canada

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection successfully negotiated with the Canadian side, resulting in the Canadian Food Inspection Agency approving the program for exporting fresh apples from Ukraine to Canada. This significantly expands the opportunities for Ukrainian producers in the Canadian market.

'In the conditions of full-scale Russian aggression, we pay special attention to supporting the economy of Ukraine and Ukrainian exporters. A strong economy and resilient enterprises play a critically important role in the overall defense capability of our country. Therefore, together with the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, we continue to create new opportunities for Ukrainian producers, liberalize trade, and open doors to new external markets' - said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha.
'The demand for Ukrainian products is only growing every year on the international trading arena. Today, Canada is opening its market for our apples. The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is processing every request from businesses regarding the opening of new sales markets. And not only some countries are considered, but the entire map of the world: America, countries of the European Union, Africa, East Asia' - emphasized the Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Serhiy Tkachuk.

Canada has already updated its import requirements for Ukraine in its Automated Import Reference System (AIRS) and approved the Program for Exporting Ukrainian Apples to its country.
