According to ТСН: The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, emphasized the importance of the recent decision by European partners, which strengthens support for Kyiv. He noted that this assistance is a response to the Kremlin's attempts to deplete Ukraine's resources both financially and morally.

The critical role of financial support

In an interview with PAP, Zelensky stressed that financial support is key to ensuring the combat readiness of the Ukrainian army. In his opinion, instability in the supply of weapons negatively affects the morale of the defenders.

"Thanks to this, we have gained additional trump cards. Russia hoped that we would be weak, at least financially. This, of course, affects the spirit and morale of the soldier, who is unsure whether there will be enough drones tomorrow, whether there will be problems with ammunition, or whether there will be enough of everything," the head of state noted.

He also emphasized that the new aid package will provide the front with necessary resources and cover critical needs of the state budget.

The unity of Europe

The President expressed high appreciation for the ability of European leaders to unite around Ukraine during this critical time. Despite the skepticism of some politicians, most leaders have demonstrated determination.

"Europe has demonstrated unity despite the skepticism of some leaders, but most and a sufficient majority have shown this. And Europe has shown that regardless of pressure from Russia and other players, Europe has its own face, has its own leaders," Zelensky stressed.

It should be noted that the European Union has made an important decision by allocating €90 billion to support Ukraine. This funding will be provided in the form of an interest-free loan to cover military and budgetary needs of the country until 2026-2027. Frozen Russian assets will remain blocked, and Ukraine commits to repaying the loan only after receiving reparations from Russia.

This new aid package will undoubtedly be an important milestone in strengthening Ukraine's defense capability. Monetary support from Europe will enable not only the purchase of necessary equipment but also boost the morale of the defenders who are fighting for the independence of the country. In light of the restoration of cooperation among allies and continued struggle, this funding will play a critical role in supporting Ukraine during difficult times.
