New Legislative Proposal for 2027 Admission Requirements
According to Espreso.tv: Ukraine's government has introduced a bill outlining the 2027 admission process, which keeps the current structure of the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) in place. Under the proposed rules, history, Ukrainian language, and mathematics will remain compulsory subjects for all test takers.
In 2023, over 350,000 individuals registered for the NMT. Education Minister Serhiy Lisovyi emphasized that the exam is designed to assess fundamental skills—reading, writing, and arithmetic.
“That is why mathematics must stay a mandatory subject,” — Serhiy Lisovyi.These changes aim to ensure a high-quality selection of applicants and maintain strong knowledge levels in essential academic areas.

By preserving the current testing framework, the government seeks to bring stability to the education system and improve how well young people are prepared for higher education.
