Specifications and Training Program
Serial production of the ALTO NG began in 2022. The aircraft has a maximum takeoff weight of 600 kg, a cruising speed of up to 180 km/h, and a top speed of 260 km/h. It is powered by a Rotax 912 ULS engine, offering efficiency and reliability during training sessions.
With these new aircraft, the pilot training program will include:
- basic and advanced piloting skills;
- navigation using NATO-standard takeoff and landing procedures;
- a transitional phase involving complex operational procedures.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense states: 'This training approach significantly boosts the combat readiness of our pilots.'
The arrival of the ALTO NG aircraft marks a key step in modernizing military pilot training in Ukraine, aligning with current military aviation standards. Czech support reflects active international collaboration aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities. Expanding the training curriculum and introducing new pilot standards will help Ukraine address security challenges amid the ongoing military situation.
