According to inkorr.com: Ukraine received a new tranche from the European Union amounting to 1 billion euros, funds from frozen Russian assets. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance, according to information from "Hvylya".
About the ERA Program
This payment became the eighth within the G7 program called ERA (Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine). In total, since the program began, Ukraine has already received 10 billion euros. Other funds are planned to be sent gradually until 2025.
The ERA program is designed to provide Ukraine with assistance totaling 50 billion US dollars. The EU's contribution amounts to 18.1 billion euros (20 billion US dollars).
Financial Support from the EU
Since the start of the full-scale war in February 2022, the EU has become a key source of direct budget support for Ukraine, allocating 58.5 billion euros to cover priority state budget expenditures. In the first eight months of 2025, Ukraine received over 16.5 billion euros from the European Union.
Earlier, the "Coalition of the Resolute" made a decision regarding the provision of missiles for Ukraine.
The European Union continues its active financial support for Ukraine since the start of the war in 2022. This recent tranche of 1 billion euros is only part of the total assistance provided under the ERA program. It highlights the EU's support amidst the war and strengthens its cooperation with Ukraine on the path to security and stability.
The received funds will be used to cover urgent budget needs and ensure social payments, which is especially important in the ongoing war. The EU expresses its readiness to continue supporting Ukraine, indicating long-term commitments to cooperation between the parties.
