Ukraine and Japan agreed on new assistance for energy: what they will receive.
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Community and Territory Development of Ukraine reported that Alona Shkrum, the First Deputy Minister, is currently on an official visit to Japan. During the visit, she held over 10 meetings with representatives of the government, business, and agencies of this country. The most significant was the meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism of Japan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Discussion of new projects
During the meetings, they discussed the possibilities of expanding joint projects and new supplies of assistance, which include energy equipment, pumps, and machinery for regions affected by Russian attacks. The Ukrainian side also initiated the expansion of the program to new areas and appealed for additional energy equipment for certain cities.
'We want to create our own – a Ukrainian effective recovery system. We have 11 frontline regions that require special attention. I believe that together with our Japanese partners we can do this. Six years after the war, Japan began its economic miracle. And after 25 years, it became the second-largest economy in the world. Ukraine is also capable of this. We have the strength, we have partners, and we have faith,' Shkrum stated.
Cooperation with Japan
Cooperation between Ukraine and Japan is actively developing in the fields of economic recovery, support for affected regions, and the development of new projects to improve the situation in the country.
This visit by Alona Shkrum emphasizes the importance of international cooperation in the context of post-war recovery in Ukraine. Japanese experience could become invaluable support for Ukraine in restoring its infrastructure and economy, which suffered significant losses due to aggression. We hope that the results of these meetings will lead to tangible shifts in the cooperation of the two countries.
