Meeting of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine in Kyiv
According to inkorr.com: A meeting took place in Kyiv between the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Hvozdyar and the heads of the committees on European affairs of the parliaments of EU countries, led by the Vice President of the European Parliament Esteban González Pons.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the main topics of the meeting were the security situation in the country and the threats posed by Russian aggression to European states. The cooperation in providing military support to Ukraine from EU member countries was also discussed.
'Ukraine and the European Union are coming together to improve security. We discussed the possibility of creating joint production capacities, developing modern defense technologies, and forming a reliable defense system for the continent. This is an important step towards long-term partnerships capable of strengthening the security of every European country,' emphasized Hanna Hvozdyar.
Issues regarding the expansion of parliamentary cooperation between EU countries and Ukraine within the framework of the SAFE initiative and the ReArm Europe Plan/Readiness 2030 were also raised, as well as joint production projects aimed at enhancing Ukraine's defense capabilities and security in Europe.
As a result of the meeting, the importance of security cooperation for strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and overall European security was emphasized.
This meeting reflects a new stage in Ukraine's cooperation with the European Union in the field of security and defense. The discussed initiatives could become key for further support for Ukraine in the face of aggression and for enhancing stability across the region.
