Ukraine and NATO to create joint production of drones: details.
According to inkorr.com: Hanna Hvozdyar, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, met with the commander of the NATO Security Assistance and Training Mission for Ukraine (SAG-U/NSATU), Lieutenant General Curtis Buzzard. During the conversation, the parties discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation, including joint production of weapons and military equipment.
Facilitating military-technical development
Hvozdyar emphasized that the approval of strategic projects for the future could significantly strengthen Ukraine's defense capability in the event of conflict with the aggressor. International partners play an important role in these projects, with whom they plan to implement joint initiatives and develop new technologies.
“We discussed the creation of joint productions of modern drone systems - this is what is currently saving the lives of military personnel and civilians today,” emphasized Hanna Hvozdyar.
Improving kamikaze drones
Ivan Havryliuk, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, noted that Russian troops are improving kamikaze drones, equipping them with 16-channel systems, which complicates their interception. Defense units actively use various means to repel attacks, including anti-aircraft missile systems and interceptor drones.
Following the meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and NATO, ways to deepen cooperation in the production of weapons and military equipment, as well as the development of advanced technologies to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities, especially in the context of threats from Russian kamikaze drones, were discussed.
This meeting underscores the importance of international cooperation to ensure Ukraine's security in the context of ongoing aggression. Planned joint projects could be an important step in the development of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and strengthening the country's defense potential for the future.
