Joint working group of Ukraine and Poland
Ukraine and Poland have established a joint working group to develop unmanned aviation technologies. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the signing of a memorandum in Kyiv. The initiative aims to enhance security in the region in light of threats from Russia.“We are moving to a new level of cooperation in response to Russian terror, which poses a threat not only to Ukraine but also to other countries in Europe. The foundation of this working group will consist of joint training programs,” emphasized Shmyhal.The working group aims to support the exchange of experience in unmanned aviation systems, develop new methods for their use, and ensure compliance with NATO standards. A declaration was also signed to strengthen security and defense cooperation, in which Poland expressed support for Ukraine in these initiatives.Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz confirmed readiness to participate in joint projects. He emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences in unmanned aviation and stressed that the Poles are looking forward to joint efforts in addressing the issues arising from the assistance received from western allies.The task of the joint working group indicates the serious intentions of both countries to strengthen their defense capabilities. The experience of cooperation in unmanned aviation can significantly impact overall security in the region, especially in the context of heightened threats. This initiative not only strengthens the bilateral relations between Ukraine and Poland but also contributes to integration into the European security system.
