Ukrainian Defense Forces Target Russian Air Defense Systems

According to Novyny.live: In a nighttime operation on March 15, Ukraine's Defense Forces attacked Russian air defense systems located in the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula. The strike hit two radar stations and a launcher belonging to the S-400 'Triumf' surface-to-air missile system.

Specifically, Ukrainian troops targeted the 59N6-E 'Protivnik' and 73E6 'Parol' radar stations near the village of Libknekhtivka. Additionally, a launcher of the S-400 'Triumf' system positioned close to the settlement of Dalnye was also struck.

Ongoing Military Campaign

This attack is part of a broader series of military operations recently conducted by Ukrainian forces. On March 10, Ukrainian troops had already hit a 'Valday' radar complex in the Prymorske area of Crimea. Furthermore, during the night of March 14, Ukrainian military personnel carried out a series of strikes on military, logistics, and industrial infrastructure within Russian territory.

The destruction of radar stations in Crimea and the disabling of the S-400 system highlight the continued active operations of Ukraine's Defense Forces in the region. These missions are designed to degrade the enemy's combat capabilities and enhance the security of Ukraine's airspace.

Carrying out these attacks demonstrates the growing assertiveness of Ukrainian forces in the fight for air superiority and underscores the critical importance of neutralizing hostile systems that pose a threat to Ukrainian troops. Future actions by the Defense Forces may focus on further weakening Russia's military infrastructure in Crimea, which could, in turn, influence the overall dynamics of the conflict in the area.
