Bridge Targeted in Crimea

According to Novyny.live: Ukraine’s Armed Forces General Staff confirmed a strike on a railway bridge near the Ichoky area in Crimea, a structure the Russian military relied on for moving troops. This hit is expected to complicate logistics on the peninsula, as the bridge served as a vital supply corridor for occupying forces.

Located near the former settlement of Sovietske (Ichoky), the railway bridge functioned as a critical transport hub for Russian troops stationed in Crimea. After damage to the Kerch Bridge, the rail line connecting Dzhankoi, Vladyslavivka, and Kerch became the occupiers’ primary supply route.

Escalating Situation Across the Peninsula

Meanwhile, at least 16 explosions were heard overnight near the Saky Thermal Power Plant. This facility, the main heat supplier for the city of Saky, has an electrical capacity of nearly 150 MW. In response, the occupation authorities declared a state of emergency across Crimea.

Amid the heightened tensions, the children’s center ‘Artek’ was evacuated as well. These measures underscore the severity of the situation on the peninsula and the need to protect local residents. The bridge strike and explosions near the Saky plant could significantly impact both military and civilian infrastructure in Crimea.

These developments point to an escalation of military operations in Crimea and a growing risk for civilians. Targeting key transport routes like the railway bridge may hinder the flow of supplies to Russian forces, potentially affecting their combat capabilities. The declaration of a state of emergency and civilian evacuations highlight the real and present danger to public safety in Crimea amid the ongoing conflict.
