Ukraine has put up for auction a plant that belonged to a Russian senator.
The State Property Fund of Ukraine announced the holding of an online auction for the sale of 100% of the shares in the statutory capital of LLC 'Motordetal-Konotop' (Sumy region) on September 24.
The starting price of the lot and its composition are indicated on the website of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
LLC 'Motordetal-Konotop' manufactures cylinder sleeves for various types of equipment in Europe. The plant is equipped with all necessary machinery that allows continuous operation, including foundry and machining shops.
The enterprise was once owned by Russian senator Sergey Kalashnikov but was confiscated by the state. The plant is located in a convenient area near transport highways and has developed infrastructure, including production buildings, warehouses, and administrative premises covering an area of over 90 thousand sq. m.
What is the starting bid amount
More than 600 people work at the plant, and among its clients are well-known automakers such as Rolls-Royce, Scania, MAN, Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Renault, and CAT. The starting price of the lot at the auction is 268.1 million UAH (excluding VAT).
This is not the first time the State Property Fund has tried to sell this plant: in March of this year, attempts were also made, but unsuccessfully due to a lack of interested buyers. The starting price then was slightly higher — 278.5 million UAH.
