According to Espreso.tv: Aviation expert Bohdan Dolintse has weighed in on the potential debut of Ukraine’s FP-9 ballistic missile in combat, a weapon with a reported strike range of up to 855 kilometers. This discussion gained momentum after Russia claimed to have intercepted an operational-tactical missile at a distance exceeding 800 kilometers, sparking intense interest among military analysts.

The FP-9, developed by the company Fire Point, carries a warhead weighing approximately 800 kilograms. Russian sources assert that the interception occurred at an altitude of 30 to 40 kilometers. Dolintse highlighted that

“Russia reported intercepting an operational-tactical missile at a range of over 800 km”

The expert noted that, as of now, only Fire Point has publicly announced the creation of the FP-9 ballistic missile. According to him,

“This means it could potentially reach not only Moscow but also certain targets near Saint Petersburg”
