Ukraine Initiates Ten Joint Defense Ventures Across Europe, Starting in Germany.
Ukraine Launches Joint Defense Production Initiatives
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine has begun implementing a plan to establish at least ten new defense initiatives in 2023, with the first project already operational in Germany. Presidential advisor Oleksandr Kamyshin confirmed the details of this European collaboration. This move comes as Ukraine seeks to deepen its defense ties with Western partners and integrate its industrial base with NATO standards.
The primary goal is to set up joint manufacturing facilities for Ukraine's defense industry under European management. The first project was announced in December 2022, and its completion marks a significant step in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities. A budget of 21.5 billion hryvnias has been allocated to fund the defense sector under this plan.
Soon, you will see the first drones produced against Russia with German funding and sent to Ukraine for our front lines, for our military.
Oleksandr Kamyshin
Launching these joint projects represents a crucial phase in developing defense cooperation between Ukraine and Europe. This effort will not only bolster Ukraine's defensive capacities but also promote the integration of its defense industry into European frameworks, which could yield long-term positive effects for regional security. The collaboration with European nations, particularly Germany, underscores the sustained international support for Ukraine amid ongoing security challenges.
