According to inkorr.com: At the UNESCO General Conference held in Samarkand, a list of significant events for 2026-2027 was presented. Among them are the centenary of the National Historical and Cultural Reserve 'Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra' and the 150th anniversary of composer Mykola Leontovych, who became famous for the song 'Shchedryk'. This was announced by the head of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting, Olga Gerasymyuk.

In addition, the Ukrainian delegation proposed to establish a World Day of Science Engagement, which will be celebrated annually on November 27. This initiative, which originated in the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, received support among conference participants. The head of the National Council of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tkachenko, emphasized:

'This idea resonated deeply with delegations from all continents, as science is experiencing a crisis of trust and knowledge is becoming a commodity.'

Olga Gerasymyuk stressed the importance of intellect over strength, reminding the world that Ukraine, while defending freedom, demonstrates the necessity of intellect in addressing modern challenges.
