Ukrainians were forecasted whether there will be light when the NPP is disconnected from the power system.
The state of Ukraine's energy system may deteriorate by winter
Energy expert Sergey Dyachenko believes that Ukrainians will have to limit electricity consumption in the worst-case scenario. Under such conditions, light may be available for only 4-5 hours a day. He revealed this information in an interview with "Espresso".
The expert warns of a possible disconnection of nuclear power plants, leading to an emergency operation mode. As a result, power supply may be limited to 4-5 hours a day. However, Dyachenko notes that Ukrainian energy specialists have experience in quickly restoring damaged infrastructure.
After the latest shelling, the power system resumed operation within 3 weeks, allowing to avoid large-scale outages
Dyachenko expressed some optimism about the upcoming winter period. If the energy system remains undamaged, Ukraine will be able to cope with the winter under normal conditions. But the expert warns that currently the energy system is less reliable than desired.
It was previously reported about possible peak power outages in Ukraine, with the light going out for up to 18 hours a day.
